As we continue to work on our new web page, we are striving to put information in each week that is designed to uplift and edify you.  We encourage your input in making this site a place of encourage-ment to all those who read it.

Rounded Rectangular Callout:

“I prayed for you today.

I wanted you to know at God is always with you... no matter what and that

I always have a prayer and a hug for you…

no matter what.”

“A friend loveth at all times…”

Proverbs 17:17a

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Our guiding verses this

year are:  Hebrews 10:23-25.

You never know when your card

of encouragement will be just

what she needed to lift her spirits,

brighten her day or bring a smile

to her face!

Who are the “Secret Sisters

of Encouragement”?

This year it was decided that our

Secret Sister Program would be

redesigned and that some dramatic

changes would be implemented in an

effort to reenergize us as women of

God.  It seems that we have experienced as many others have what is sometimes called “Secret Sister Burn-out”.  What does that mean?  It means that our focus has changed from being sisters that encourage one another by small tokens designed to uplift and edify, to sisters who are disappointed, disheartened and discouraged.  It was a slow transition from encouragement to discouragement, but the change happened none the less.  In an effort to redirect the focus of the Secret Sisters program, the name, as well as the dynamics of the program have been changed.

To give us a fresh start, the program is now called, “The Secret Sisters of Encouragement”.  Our guiding verse is Hebrews 10:23-25.  Rather than feeling obligated to give a gift to your sister each month or holiday, there are only 2 times throughout the year that gifts should be given.  A gift for your sister’s birthday and a gift at the end of the year when names are revealedIt is very important that all Sisters of Encouragement remember their Sister each month, with a card or note so they know they are being thought of and that prayers are being offered to God on their behalf.  This is not a contest to see who gives the best gifts or cards, but it is rather a service of the heart, designed to uplift the one who gives and the one who receives.

Remember that you made a commitment to your sister.  Be an Encourager ~ not a Discourager!   As always, I welcome your comments and your encouragement!
